Las Vegas Aces player Alysha Clark made a serious allegation on social media after she cast her vote for the 2024 Presidential Election. Clark, a three-time WNBA champion, claimed the three candidates she picked were switched and warned others to be extra vigilant.
Clark didn't disclose who she voted for but alleged ballot tampering.
"Went and early voted here in Tennessee this morning! ✅ Make sure you review your selections carefully BEFORE submitting your ballot. 3 of my candidate choices were changed from my original selections when I went to the review page."
Clark joined the Las Vegas Aces in 2023 after playing for the Washington Mystics in 2022 and her impact was felt right away. She won the 2023 WNBA Sixth Player of the Year award and helped the squad win their second straight WNBA championship.
The Aces chased a three-peat this season, but were taken out by eventual champions, the New York Liberty, in the second round of the playoffs. The 37-year-old forward played 40 games with the Aces, averaging 6.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists. She shot 44.3% from the field, 37.3% from 3-point range and 82.1% from the free-throw line.
Alysha Clark reacts to major WNBPA decision
Last week, in the wake of the 2024 WNBA Finals ending, the WNBPA decided to opt out of the 2020 CBA. Cathy Engelbert, the league's commissioner, announced that this decision prompted the league to work with players and find a middle ground to satisfy every party's demands.
"With the historic 2024 WNBA season now in the books, we look forward to working together with the players and the WNBPA on a new CBA that is fair for all and lays the foundation for growth and success for years to come," Engelbert said in her statement.
Alysha Clark was among the players who reacted to this announcement. She wrote a four-word message on X/Twitter to celebrate.
"It’s business. Buckle up."
The new CBA will come into effect by 2026.
