The Las Vegas Aces and Seattle Storm will face each other for the third time this season on Wednesday. Las Vegas, which won 94-83 in the previous encounter, hopes to make it two in a row against the host team. MVP favorite A’ja Wilson will again lead the two-time, defending WNBA champions.
Seattle has been on a roll since late June, winning five of their last six games. Jewell Loyd, Nneka Ogwumike, Ezi Magbegor and Skylar Diggins-Smith have been superb during that stretch. They will be raring to hand Vegas another loss in the head-to-head duel.
Climate Pledge Arena will host the matchup between the Aces and the Storm. FOX 13+, Amazon Prime Video-Seattle and Silver State Sports & Entertainment Network will air the game locally. Basketball fans can also stream the action by subscribing to the WNBA League Pass.

Las Vegas Aces vs. Seattle Storm: Key matchups
A’ja Wilson vs. Ezi Magbegor
The first two games of the Aces-Storm series featured a titanic battle between A’ja Wilson and Ezi Magbegor. Wilson seems to be headed towards another MVP season, the third of her career, so containing her will be priority No. 1 for Seattle’s defense.
Magbegor is second in the WNBA with 2.6 blocks per game, second only to the franchise cornerstone she will be facing on Tuesday. The Storm center has the mobility, length and anticipation to make Wilson work hard on offense.
Ezi Magbegor more than held her own against A’ja Wilson in their past two duels. The Storm is hoping she can keep it up to potentially stop the Aces from taking a 2-1 lead in the season series.
Skylar Diggins-Smith vs. Jackie Young
In the Storm’s 78-65 win over the Aces in early June, Skylar Diggins-Smith badly outplayed Jackie Young. The former dropped 19 of her 21 points to drag the Storm to the victory while the latter ended up with three points in 28 points.
In the rematch, Young played with more gusto and energy to give Diggins-Smith some payback. Las Vegas’ point guard finished with a team-high 32 points to go with four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Her Seattle counterpart ended with 10 points, six assists and three steals.
The winner of the point guard battle could determine who will walk away with the victory on Wednesday.
