The Las Vegas Aces vs Washington Mystics started the Saturday matchday with a hard-fought contest at Entertainment and Sports Arena. The defending WNBA champions landed in DC trying to get the 10th win of the season and get closer to the top teams in the Western Conference.

The Aces didn't have the best start to the game, with the Mystics taking an eight-game lead in the first quarter, going from less to more throughout the game. With A'ja Wilson having a discreet game, Jackie Young stepped up and led the team to the win against the capital team with her 26 points and four rebounds.

Chelsea Gray and Tiffany Hayes also showed up today, scoring 22 and 17 points, respectively.

On the other side of the street, Stefanie Dolson had a notable performance, scoring 23 points and grabbing seven rounds. Myisha Hines-Allen was the second-best scorer of the Mystics with 14 while Ariel Atkins dropped 13 for the team.

They had a strong start to the game, but as the quarters went by, they lost power, ultimately losing the game by 11 points at home.

Las Vegas Aces vs Washington Mystics Game Summary

This Las Vegas Aces vs Washington Mystics matchup was off to a strong start, with the home team taking the first quarter, 28-20. The Aces bounced back in the second period with a 26-24 result.

This wasn't enough to take the lead. After the third quarter ended with a 21-17 win for the Aces, the Mystics were in danger of losing all the hard work they put in during the first half of the game.

Las Vegas finished the job with a clear 21-8 win in the fourth quarter, ruining the Mystics' chances to get a big upset and taking the 88-77 win as visitors.

Unexpected heroes like Jackie Young and Tiffany Hayes carried this team to the win. A'ja Wilson had a terrible game from the field, but that didn't stop the champions from leaving the Entertainment & Sports Arena with a win that confirms they're no longer struggling.

With this win, the Aces are now third in the West, behind the Minnesota Lynx and Seattle Storm, respectively. They'll face Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever next Tuesday at T-Mobile Arena.
