LeBron James and A'ja Wilson are arguably the faces of the NBA and the WNBA after dominating the competition in their respective leagues. The LA Lakers superstar reacted to the Aces superstar's latest Instagram story, which featured a video of the shoes Wilson wore on the court.

Wilson mentioned James in her story and the Lakers star responded in his. LeBron James also added a caption on his mention back of Wilson's story:

Wilson's Instagram story was a shoutout to LeBron in front of her 1.1 million followers on the social media platform.

"Mhm mhm 22 in the 22s," Wilson wrote.

A'ja Wilson wears the number 22 on her jersey and the sneakers she wore in the picture were an unreleased variant of the LeBron 22s, his signature Nike shoe line. James and Wilson are leading the USA's men's and women's teams at the 2024 Paris Olympics, with gold medals on their minds.

A'ja Wilson shuts down fan's 'LeBron James' signature athlete' proposal

A'ja Wilson was in attendance to witness the final quarter heroics of LeBron James against Germany in the USA's final exhibition game on Monday. The Lakers star delivered a stunning performance, scoring 20 points, of which 11 came in the final quarter. James pulled his team from a losing position and guided them to the win.

A'ja Wilson was impressed by Bron's performance and shared her thoughts in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

"Couldn’t tweet cause I didn’t have service but Bron different fr fr."

Seeing the WNBA star post LeBron's praises made fans flood the comments sections with their own opinions. One fan out of them caught the WNBA star's attention, as they suggested that Wilson should become LeBron's first signature athlete. However, she turned him down with a repost reminding the fans that she has her own signature shoe line dropping very soon.

"Thx but I got my own signature," Wilson wrote.

Earlier this year, Nike announced that the Las Vegas Aces' sensation would be getting her own signature shoe line named "A'One." Since then there has only been a logo reveal for the sneaker line, and the first edition of A'Ones is expected to drop soon in the future.
