Caitlin Clark has been nothing short of spectacular in her debut WNBA season. She has managed to break some records along the way, such as the most number of assists by a rookie.

When Clark knocked down her 86th three-pointer last night against the Connecticut Sun to surpass Rhyne Howard for the most made 3-pointers by a rookie, Sparks legend Lisa Leslie had nothing but praise for her.

In the Fever's 84-80 win over the Sun squad, she knocked down three shots from beyond the arc, scoring 19 points for the ball game. Against the second-ranked defense in the league, Clark was able to find ways to be effective from the offensive end.

Leslie congratulated the rookie sensation on X, formerly known as Twitter:

"Congratulations @CaitlinClark22. I'm so proud of you and you are just getting started! Let it rain."

In 2022, Atlanta Dream's Rhyne Howard held the three-point record with 85 made shots beyond the arc.

Clark's shotmaking from beyond the arc was first previewed during her time playing at Iowa, where range and defensive coverages weren't a problem for her as she continued to hone her craft.

Caitlin Clark talked about breaking most made threes record by a WNBA rookie

Following the impressive win against Connecticut, Caitlin Clark credited the team's offensive system for her latest accomplishment alongside the growth she has experienced playing alongside her teammates.

"I think the three-point record is cool," Clark said. "I just think it speaks to the way we play offense and the way we've been playing offense as of late, just fast, off-tempo. I feel like I'm definitely capable of shooting it a little better. I feel like I've gotten some tough rolls. ... But I feel like I'm shooting it well and taking good shots."

Despite being the second-lowest unit at defensive efficiency, the Fever squad holds the fourth-best offensive rating in the league.

It was a different story with how Indiana started their season, going 0-5 before securing their first win. Fast forward to now and they are seventh in the league standings. They have been one of the hottest teams in the WNBA post-Olympic break with a 4-1 record.

In the 31 games she's played this season, Caitlin Clark is averaging 18.0 points (41.4% shooting), 8.1 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game.
