Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart's Unrivaled League is just months away from its 2025 tipoff, with the 30-player pool filling up its last few spots. On Wednesday afternoon, Unrivaled announced its 29th player to join the league, leaving one spot remaining.
The league took to Instagram to welcome Lexie Hull as the second-to-last player to join.
Hull shared her excitement about joining the league in a comment on the post.
Hull is joining other WNBA stars such as Breanna Stewart, Napheesa Collier, Angel Reese and Arike Ogunbowale and is the first Indiana Fever player to join the league.
In 2024, Hull carved out the best season of her young career, averaging 5.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists and solidifying her role as the Indiana Fever's sixth woman.
Hull showed immense improvement in year three, posting career-highs in points, field-goal percentage and 3-point percentage. After returning from All-Star break she notched five games scoring in double-figures, including a career-high 22-point performance on August 18.
Unrivaled is scheduled for a January 2025 tipoff and has already reached a multi-year with TNT for broadcasting rights. The league will follow a 3x3 player format, with each of the six teams featuring five total players. Games will be full-court, but a shortened 70-foot court.
Final Unrivaled roster spot to be announced on Thursday
The Unrivaled League has announced each of the last three players one day apart on X, dating back to Kate Martin's post on Monday. Based on this trend, Unrivaled might announce the final player to join the league on Thursday.
With the Fever sending their first player to the new women's basketball league, speculation has arisen that the final player to join the league could be Hull's teammate, WNBA Rookie of the Year and All-WNBA first-team selection, Caitlin Clark.
Unrivaled is reportedly preparing a major offer for Clark to feature in the league's debut season.
The league has already gained a substantial following, signed a broadcasting deal and could add the most popular player in the WNBA to its 30-player pool.
