Caitlin Clark is more than just a phenomenal basketball player. Players and coaches around the league have talked up the Iowa native's amicable personality and positive attitude off the court. Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull was the latest to open up about her relationship with Clark, and was full of praise for her teammate.

Speaking to the press after a Fever practice session on Tuesday, Hull remarked on her dynamic with Clark.

"We're good friends, we hang out a good amount and she's just a fun person to be around," said Hull.

Hull admitted that she did not know Clark before the rookie joined the Fever but was "really happy" she came to Indiana.

The Fever players have developed great chemistry over the second half of the season. This has propelled Indiana up the WNBA standings. After winning just one of its first nine games to start the year, Christie Sides' team has a 19-11 record since June 1.

Hull also spoke about the expectations that came along with signing Clark, and the team's momentum as the organization prepares for its first playoff appearance since 2016.

"It is really exciting. Coming into this season we had higher expectations with you know, the rookie we brought in...it has exceeded our expectations," said Hull. "Feels like we have a lot of momentum and we're really excited to see where we are today."

The Fever play their final regular season game against the Washington Mystics on Thursday before the playoffs begin on Sept. 22.

Caitlin Clark is regarded as one of the league's top distributors and Lexie Hull has thrived working alongside the talented point guard.

This season, Hull is averaging career-highs in points, assists, field goal percentage and three-point percentage.

After a game against the Dallas Wings on Sept. 15, Clark talked up Hull's impact and her role in helping guide the Fever to the playoffs.

"I'm really proud of Lex," said Clark. "To see the way she has improved...just her shooting over the course of the year. Since the Olympic break she shot the ball incredibly well and that has added a whole other dynamic for our team."

Going into the game against the Atlanta Dream on Aug. 28, Hull was used predominantly off the bench and had started just one game. Since then, she has started nine consecutive games and is averaging over 32 minutes per start. The 25-year-old guard will be a key figure for a Fever side looking to make a deep playoff run this year.
