Lexie Hull had a viral moment in the Indiana Fever’s win against the Atlanta Dream in their WNBA regular-season game on Monday. Hull was caught gently pushing Dream star Rhyne Howard after realizing she was close to stepping out of bounds. The move worked for the Fever star, as it forced a turnover for the Dream, to the dismay of Howard and her team.
It was a funny and witty play by Hull, and it went viral after the game. The shove also caught the attention of Lexie’s mom, Jaime Hull, who revealed her reaction and her daughter’s response when asked about the tactic.
“Oh my gosh… Really @lexiehulll ?!? 🤣😂 I asked her why she pushed her and all she text back was “idk 😂”. Sure didn’t make her friend Rhyne very happy. SMH at my kid on that one!,” Jaime Hull wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The push did not significantly impact the game, but Hull’s activity on the floor proved valuable for the Fever. She made the most of her 30 minutes against the Dream, filling in on Katie Lou Samuelson in the second half.
Hull scored two points, yet was effective in other facets of the game, picking up four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Hull made a crucial and-1 basket in the fourth quarter, off a pass from Fever rookie Caitlin Clark, for her only points in the game.
Despite missing the subsequent free throws, Hull rebounded her miss and got an assist for Kelsey Mitchell for another 2-point basket with a foul.
With Hull’s help, the Fever solidified their place in the WNBA standings with their 14th win in 30 games, which is their most victories in a season since 2016.

The game filled Jaime Hull with pride, and she posted a heartwarming remark on X, formerly known as Twitter, to give her daughter props.
"Welp, she proved me right. She has always had it in her. She's not always going to have games like this, but she will never not give !! It's just who she is!!!" Jaime Hull posted.
