A few days ago, reports about Liz Cambage's retirement made the rounds on the internet. Netizens were buzzing after news of the 6-foot-9 hooper retiring from the sport and earning a huge payday from the online subscription service OnlyFans.

Cambage noticed the viral social media posts and cleared things up. In a video posted on her Instagram story, she slammed reports about her alleged decision to call it a career:

"Y'all will write a whole story and not do one lick of research," said Cambage. "I'm retired? I'm, like, literally in season. I have a game tonight."

Though Cambage last played in the WNBA in 2022 as part of the Los Angeles Sparks roster, she has continued to play professionally since then. In 2023, she signed with the Sichuan Yuanda Meile, a team that competes in the Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA).

All speculations on Cambage's retirement were seemingly stomped out when an Instagram video posted on Wednesday showed her playing in a WCBA game:

In the video, which was part of a collaborative post by Cambage and the WCBA, she is seen running up and down the floor with her Sichuan Yuanda teammates. The clip shows her hitting a variety of shots, including a fadeaway and a hook shot.

The video shows a banner that reads "2024-2025" draped right above the courtside seats in the arena. It's safe to.say that Cambage has not left the game of basketball just yet.

Liz Cambage is doing big business in more ways than one

In the same X video where she called out inaccurate reports on her retirement, Cambage made this claim as well:

"I have the biggest female contract in the f****ng world. Y'all never want to write about that!"

Though this claim about "the biggest female contract" needs further verification, Cambage's initial three-month contract in 2023 was said to be worth $1 million.

Aside from this, Cambage is said to have earned more from her OnlyFans page than she has in her professional basketball endeavors.
