Months after rekindling her romance with NaLyssa Smith, Dijonai Carrington made an adorable post for her girlfriend. The Connecticut Sun guard took to Instagram to share a birthday message for Smith.
Carrington made two posts on her Instagram story, and in the first picture, the couple can be seen wearing black outfits. Smith was in a half-sleeved shirt and pants while Carrington was in a split dress. Carrington added the caption:
“Happy birthdayyyy to my babyyyyy! I love youuuu witchooo fine as*.”
On the next post, she made a collage of their pictures together, and in three of them, they were cozied up. In one of the snaps, NaLyssa Smith was cuddling with her dog.
“Cheers to #5 and all the rest after this.”
“Issa holiday,” Carrington added.
It was in 2020 when the romantic spark between the former Baylor teammates made the news. According to Brobible, the Lady Bears also confirmed their relationship.
Despite entering the WNBA one year apart, and playing for different teams, they remained a couple. However, rumors swirled about their breakup last year after they unfollowed each other on Instagram. However, they quickly rekindled their romance.
Just last season, during a game between the Indiana Fever and the Sun, Smith committed a foul which led to Carrington falling on the floor. Smith helped her by picking her up by the waist and the clip made its rounds on social media.
Even if they are a couple, Smith and Carrington remain competitive on the court, even if their teams are matched up against each other.
