"Loved being your teammate": Angel Reese drops heartwarming comment on Indiana Fever star after All-Star game

Angel Reese played in her first WNBA All-Star game on Saturday.

Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese dropped a heartfelt comment on Indiana Fever's rising star Aliyah Boston's latest Instagram post. Reese and Boston, who are on the opposite side of one of the WNBA's gripping rivalries, got a chance to play together on the same team during the 2024 WNBA All-Star game.

Angel Reese and Aliyah Boston were part of Team WNBA that won the All-Star game 117-109 against Team USA at the Footprint Center in Phoenix on Saturday.

After the game, Boston shared a string of pictures on Instagram. The Indiana Fever center gave fans a sneak peek on how she spent her time during the All-Star weekend in Phoenix. Angel Reese reacted to Boston's post:

Boston's Indiana Fever teammate Caitlin Clark reacted to her teammate's post and dropped a one-word comment: "Slayyyyy."

Ahead of the All-Star game, Boston and Reese were spotted having fun during a practice session.

Both Aliyah Boston and Angel Reese played their roles to perfection in Team WNBA's All-Star game victory. Boston and Reese didn't start the game but made significant impact off the bench.

Reese dominated during her 17:53 minutes on the court. The former LSU superstar became the first rookie to notch a double-double in All-Star game. The Sky rookie scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while also registering a steal and one block.

Reese failed to covert either of her two attempts from the 3-point range into baskets. The 22-year-old shot 5-of-10 from the field and 2-of-2 from the free throw line.

Aliyah Boston got limited minutes and was the last Team WNBA player to come off the bench. The 2023 WNBA Rookie of the Year played 9:03 minutes and scored four points.

The former South Carolina star grabbed two rebounds and dished out one assist. Boston shot 2-of-3 from the field, and her only missed shot came from beyond the arc.


The history between Aliyah Boston and Angel Reese

Aliyah Boston and Reese are well aware about each other's potential and skillset on the court.

Before beginning their rivalry in the WNBA, the two dominant players squared off against each other multiple times in college when Boston represented South Carolina and Reese played for University of Maryland and LSU.

Boston was drafted in 2023, while Reese began her professional career earlier in the year. In the WNBA, Boston and Reese have squared off against each other in three games. Fever's Boston emerged victorious in two games compared to Reese's one win.
