The WNBA has made big strides over the past couple of years, and as such, their best players have grown a huge following on social media. Of course, that also means everybody is keeping their followers in the loop with what they're doing on and off the court. Connecticut Sun star Marina Mabrey is one such personality who often posts updates on social media.

On Tuesday, Mabrey posted a clip of herself cooking energetically. She posted a couple of videos cooking with some seasonings gifted by fellow WNBA star DiJonai Carrington, and it seemed like she was doing pretty well.

Marina Mabrey clears the air on Angel Reese and trade to Connecticut Sun

On Sunday, Chicago Sky star Angel Reese shared a clip asking Mabrey directly if the rookie was the reason why she requested to be traded.

"'Money Mabrey,' we have a conspiracy," Reese told her. "People want to know: Marina, did you leave Chicago because of me?"
"No, I love Angel. The real ones know," Mabrey replied.

The two young stars traded friendly banter in the clip.

The Sky traded Mabrey and a 2025 second-round pick midway through the season to the Connecticut Sun in exchange for a 2025 first-round pick, Moriah Jefferson, Rachel Banham, and the right to swap 2026 first-round selections.

The fact that the Sky agreed to trade one of its best players raised suspicion and led many to believe that it was because of Reese's arrival.

Shortly after being traded, Mabrey said she wanted to play for a team that was in the mix to win a WNBA championship, which clearly wasn't the case for the Sky at the time.

“I came to play for James Wade, the system he had built and the vision he saw for me,” Mabrey told the Chicago Sun-Times after her trade. “I don’t like to jump ship, so he left, and then I thought, ‘OK, let’s see what happens.’ I like to keep our stuff in-house.
"What happens there stays there, but I saw it as an opportunity for me to get a chance to play with veterans, people who have won a championship."

Both will play in the inaugural season of Unrivaled, with Reese playing for Rose BC, and Mabrey representing Phantom BC.
