WNBA star Angel Reese is signing a multi-year extension with Reebok, as reported by ESPN's Shams Charania on Thursday. The Chicago Sky forward will debut her signature shoe with the brand in 2026. The details of her contract extension with the athleisure brand were not disclosed.
"Reebok and Angel are growing together every day and our visions for the future are aligned," Jide Osifeso, Reebok's head of basketball said. "We're excited to continue the relationship with a ground-up build of her signature silhouette."
After the report was posted, some fans referenced Reese's recent rant about her salary in the league. The Sky player talked about how she couldn't pay her $8,000 apartment rent during her Instagram Live on Oct. 17.
"Maybe she can afford her rent now," one fan said.
"That solves the rent issue," another fan said.
"No one is more happier than her landlord, she can now finally pay her rent," a fan said.
Other fans were more supportive of the WNBA player and congratulated her.
"Get that bag Angel. 💰," one fan said.
"On EVERYBODY soul we rocking them Angel Reese 1s," another fan said.
"Wow, Angel! Huge congrats on the Reebok deal! 🎉 Excited to see your signature shoe drop in 2026! Keep shining on the court! 🏀✨," a fan said.
In 2023, Reese signed with Reebok and became the face of the brand's women's sportswear line. With her upcoming signature shoe in 2026, she joins an exclusive group of WNBA players with a signature shoe, including Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, A'ja Wilson, Sydney Colson and Caitlin Clark.
Reebok has started working on Angel Reese's signature shoe
On Thursday, Angel Reese dropped the newest episode of her podcast, "Unapologetically Angel," featuring Shaquille O'Neal as her guest. During the episode, she said that Reebok has started working with her to design her signature shoe.
According to Reese, her signature pair will be available for both men and women. The seventh pick of the 2024 draft shared her appreciation to O'Neal for bringing her on board with the brand.
Reese hasn't revealed much about the design or the logo of her shoe.
