Kate Martin's Laces BC surpassed 12,000 followers on Instagram and became the most-followed Unrivaled team on the social media site.
One fan posted a screenshot of Laces BC's Instagram handle on X, formerly Twitter, drawing a host of reactions.
One fan listed Martin as the reason behind the massive fan following of the team.

After the Laces BC became the most followed team, Chicago Sky star Angel Reese, who plays for Rose BC, called on her massive fan base to support her Unrivaled team.
"I’m hearing that RoseBC don’t have the most followers on IG? Yall not real fans frl😭 GO FOLLOW NOW!" Reese tweeted.
Reese is one of the most followed WNBA players in the world right now. She had over four million followers on Instagram before deactivating it on the first day of 2025. Right now, she has 678,000 followers on X, but Rose BC's Instagram handle has only 17.5K followers.
Martin will be teaming up with Jackie Young, Alyssa Thomas, Stefanie Dolson, Kayla McBride, and Tiffany Hayes to take on the Phanton BC on Jan. 18. On the other hand, Reese will be teaming up with Chelsea Gray, Brittney Sykes, Kahleah Cooper, Lexie Hull, and Azura Stevens to take on the Vinyl BC on Jan. 17.
