Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is a well-known fan of pop star Taylor Swift. Clark was a recent guest on the New Heights podcast co-hosted by Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce. She opened up about being a Swiftie and how her mother turned into one.
On the latest episode of the popular podcast, Clark was asked about her experience watching the Eras Tour live in Indianapolis at the start of December. She admitted that her mother, Anne, is now a "full Swiftie" and the experience was something they'll never forget.
"Electric, it was great," Clark said. "My mom was begging me to take her. She's like, 'I got to go. Everybody's talking about it.' I'm like, 'Okay, okay.' ... It was a great show, a lot of fun, and full Swiftie, turned my mom into a full Swiftie. Two of my cousins were there too, so good time."
Caitlin Clark attended the first two shows in Indianapolis on Dec. 1 and 2. Clark revealed that she lives near the Lucas Oil Stadium, so she tried to listen to the third night of the concert on her balcony. She went by herself on the first night before bringing her mother and two cousins the following night.
Clark added that she also attended a Minneapolis show of the Eras Tour when she was still in Iowa. She and some of her Hawkeyes teammates went to the concert and had a great time watching Taylor Swift perform her biggest hits.
"I went early on when Taylor first went on tour," Clark said. "In Minnesota, U.S. Bank (Stadium). One of her early concerts, that was a lot of fun. I went with some of my college friends and we had a good time together."
Clark has been a certified Swiftie since she was a kid growing up in Iowa. She has an outstanding invite to attend a Kansas City Chiefs game with Taylor Swift. She's a huge Chiefs fan, while Swift proudly supports her boyfriend Travis Kelce, who is the team's star tight end.
What is Caitlin Clark's favorite Taylor Swift song?
Speaking on ESPN's pre-draft show back in April before she was picked first by the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark discussed being a Swiftie. She was asked which Taylor Song she'd play to celebrate her impending selection in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
"Enchanted is like my favorite song of all time," Clark said. "But it's kinda sad but I'm still playing it anyway. It doesn't matter. We're going to make it fun. That's all that matters."
Clark went on to have an impressive first year in the WNBA, leading the Indiana Fever back to the playoffs after a seven-year absence. She was also named the Rookie of the Year and even finished fourth in MVP voting.
