Cameron Brink had a wholesome message for her dad, Greg Brink, on Instagram. The LA Sparks forward shared a throwback image of her when she was a child and was in her father's arms.
A young Brink was wearing a pink sweater and a pair of jeans while flashing a thumbs-up sign as both father and daughter posed for a picture. Greg was seen in a black v-neck tee and the candid image had a simple caption.
Brink wished her father on the occasion and added:
"Happy Father's Day. My rock and my world"
Greg was a former collegiate hooper at Virginia Tech, where he played alongside Steph Curry's father, Dell Curry. His wife and Brink's mother, Michelle Bain-Brink, played for the same university. Soon after his playing days, he took a job with Nike, serving as the CEO of Nike North America for three years.
As for Cameron Brink, she was selected No. 2 overall by the Sparks, just behind Indiana Fever rookie sensation Caitlin Clark. She made the starting role for the LA as their F/C.
Cameron Brink talks about her boyfriend Ben Felter introducing her to art, calls going through the process "meditative"
Earlier this season, Cameron Brink gave the WNBA world a close look at her relationship status, and in one of her interviews with People. She spoke about her boyfriend Ben Felter and how he introduced her to a hobby that takes the stress away from the season grind.
"My boyfriend has turned me into a huge art lover. I love pottery and watercolor, even though I'm terrible.… It's really lovely to just sit down and work your brain differently for a little bit. I take pride in doing my own hair and makeup a lot. I love to do my own makeup. I think for me, it is obviously fun to get glam, but it's very meditative to just go throughout the process."
The former Stanford women’s basketball star has cemented herself as a key part of LA's defense. She has suited up for 12 games for the Sparks this season. She is averaging 8.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.1 steals, and 2.4 blocks.
