Napheesa Collier made a bold claim about a hypothetical duo with the greatest player in Minnesota Lynx history, Maya Moore. Collier was selected by the Lynx with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2019 WNBA Draft, one year after Moore announced her retirement from the game, as she focused on getting her husband out of prison.

In this week's edition of Paul George's "Podcast P" show, the 2024 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year said she and Maya Moore would have made a dynasty in Minnesota.

"We would get at least 5 [titles]," she said before George mentioned an even bigger number.
"If not, more. This is a dynasty we're talking about here. I'ma say six. No, seven [championships]. They gon' beat MJ and Pippen," the Philadelphia 76ers star said.

Before that, she showered Moore with praise, lauding her impact on the game and calling her one of the best players to ever exist.

"It's really cool to have someone like that from where you are from just to look up to, especially when women's sports weren't on TV like it is now, but to have someone you can follow along like that, it's awesome. And of course, she turned out to be one of the greatest players ever, so just having a role model like that was so cool.
"Of course, I wish I could have played with her but it's cool to see the impact that she lives everywhere I go," Collier said.

Maya Moore already helped establish a dynasty in Minnesota as she led the Lynx to four WNBA championships in seven years from 2011-17.

As for Napheesa Collier, she has become one of the best players in the WNBA in the past couple of years. She was the runner-up for the 2024 MVP award while leading the Lynx to this year's Finals.

Napheesa Collier tied Maya Moore with Lynx playoff record

The 2024 WNBA playoffs were special for Napheesa Collier. Despite losing in the Finals to the New York Liberty, she posted a remarkable performance on the way to the big series.

She scored a career-playoff-high 38 points against the Phoenix Mercury in the first round, becoming the second player in Lynx history after Moore to score 30 points in a postseason multiple times.

She averaged 20.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.4 blocks per outing in the 2024 regular season and averaged 23.8 points with 9.0 rebounds in the postseason.
