In a few short weeks, Napheesa Collier will kick off the first season of her new Unrivaled league. Ahead of opening night, the co-founder posted a wholesome photo on social media to display her excitement.

Over a year ago, Collier and WNBA superstar Breanna Stewart came up with the idea for this new league. Their mission was to create something that would help grow the women's game and ensure that the athletes are compensated properly. Later this month, the two will finally get to see the results of all their hard work.

With the holiday celebrations in the rearview mirror now, Napheesa Collier is back to focusing all her time and energy on Unrivaled. She posted a photo on her Instagram story of her and her daughter wearing league merch on Thursday. The Minnesota Lynx star also posted a small caption to tell the world they're all geared up for opening night.

Collier and her husband Alex Bazzell welcomed their daughter Mila to world back in the spring of 2022. The couple was engaged at the time, but officially tied the knot a few months after her birth.

Along with co-founding the league, Collier will also be competing in Unrivaled. She is on the Luna Owls alongside Skylar Diggins-Smith, Cameron Brink and others.

Unrivaled will play its first games in front of a national audience on Friday, January 17.

Napheesa Collier has wholesome response to fan wanting her jersey for Christmas

Along with helping build the Unrivaled league, Napheesa Collier put together one of her best seasons in the WNBA. After leading the Minnesota Lynx to the finals, it appears the All-Star forward grew her fanbase.

On Christmas, college head coach Kristen Gillespie posted a heartwarming video of her son opening his presents. She stated that a Collier jersey was one of the main things he wanted, and he was elated when he unwrapped it.

After seeing this video, Napheesa Collier decided to add to the excitement. She loved the video and told the family to reach out if they ever want tickets to a Lynx game.

Last season, Collier put together the fourth All-Star season of her young career. Across 34 games, she averaged 20.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.4 blocks. This production resulted in Collier winning Defensive Player of the Year and finishing second in MVP voting.

Fresh off a stellar 2024 campaign, Collier will look to keep the momentum rolling into Unrivaled's first season.
