Over the past year, Collier has worked tirelessly alongside Breanna Stewart to build this new women's league. The product will be slightly different, as it will be 3-on-3 instead of 5-on-5. That said, the women competing can all be seen in the WNBA as well.
During a recent interview, Napheesa Collier was asked when she'll view the new league as a success. The Minnesota Lynx star gave a shocking answer, stating that she already feels that way now. Based on the positive response they've gotten for the league thus far, Collier already feels great about Unrivaled heading into opening night.
"Success, we've already accomplished that," Collier said. "Even though we haven't played a game yet, the response we've had and the ecosystem that we're affecting without playing a game. Salaries are going up across the baord, overseas and in other domestic leagues. We have our CBA negotiations. From that, we feel successful already."
Collier will be part of the first-ever game in Unrivaled's history on Friday night at 7:00 pm Eastern Time. She and the Lunar Owls are set to face off against Stewart's team, Mist.

You can't control other people's actions but you should do everything in your power to keep yourself safe."
Both men accused of stalking Beuckers and Clark have been taken into custody by authorities. They've also been ordered to stay away from any and all WNBA facilities.
