Napheesa Collier's husband Alex Bazzell uses hilarious baseball reference after tying a bun for baby daughter Mila

Napheesa Collier often credits her husband Alex Bazzell for caring for their daughter Mila Sarah Bazzell. When Collier competes in the WNBA, the basketball skills training coach is more hands-on with the two-year-old kid. The Minnesota Lynx superstar is enjoying her offseason, but Bazzell remains as engaged as a father.

On Friday, he shared a photo of Mila and captioned the post:

“I have not lost my fastball with the bun and baby hairs but just know…it’s my only pitch.”

Bazzell played basketball in high school and college before becoming a well-known skills coach.

The baseball reference was a surprise, but it was apt. He might have compromised his fastball, but it was well worth the trouble, considering how his daughter’s baby bun looked.

Last month, Napheesa Collier told “Us Weekly” about Alex Bazzell’s role in their family:

“My husband takes a huge load of the parenting during the season just because I’m gone so much. I’m just so lucky to have a partner who supports me in this way. It’s not easy juggling this [career and family]. He also has a full-time job.”

Mila Bazzell has appeared in some of Alex Bazzell’s Instagram photos with a baby bun. The president of Unrivaled Basketball must have tried his hand at fixing his daughter’s hair on a few occasions. Friday’s handiwork might have been his best yet, a reason to share the story on IG.

Alex Bazzell brought Mila Bazzell to the Olympics to cheer for Napheesa Collier

Napheesa Collier’s extended 2024 season included a stint in the Paris Olympics, where she helped the Americans top the competition.

The victory in France was the US women’s national basketball team its eighth straight gold medal and Collier’s second. She was also part of the team that won the same event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

To show their support, Alex Bazzell brought Mila Bazzell with him to the Olympics. After squeaking past host France 67-66, Collier and her family posed for photos to celebrate Team USA’s victory.

The NBA and WNBA skills trainer went on Instagram to share some of the pictures that went with a simple caption:

“🇺🇸🥇 @napheesa24”

In one of the photos, Napheesa hugged Mila, who had a baby bun that Alex must have made.
