In NBA 2K25, players will be able to join their favorite WNBA stars on the court in the MyCareer mode. In addition, for the first time, players will be able to attend press conferences and field questions from media members with their WNBA MyPlayers.
Ahead of the Sept. 6 release date to the general public, the NBA 2k account on X, formerly known as Twitter, broke the news, revealing that WNBA MyPlayers will have the opportunity to participate in press conferences for the first time.
As the studio explained, the press conferences are fully voiced by real people, giving the media members asking questions a semblance of realism. In addition, the dialogue options chosen will shape the future of each MyPlayer, as well as the league as a whole.
Despite the new addition to the NBA 2k25 WNBA MyCareer mode, it doesn't appear as though players will be able to take their WNBA MyPlayers online to compete in the park or in the Jordan Rec Center.
In addition to WNBA MyPlayers not being included in the Park or the City, many fans were quick to criticize the graphics in the replies, with some users calling them PlayStation 3 quality graphics.

Looking at the new features added to NBA 2k25 in addition to WNBA press conferences
In addition to WNBA press conferences, NBA 2k25 will see a slew of new gameplay additions aimed at making the gaming experience better for fans. Some of the features are in-game features that will alter the gameplay experience, while others won't change the actual in-game basketball experience for players.
For example, one of the more minor changes added to the game is the addition of jersey swaps, which many players have already revealed they plan to use for hilarious moments such as the Gradey Dick-Anthony Black jersey swap we saw last season.
At the same time, however, the studio has reportedly added 9,000 new animations to NBA 2k25; however, so far it's unclear how many of those animations are gameplay animations, and how many are cosmetic animations such as walking animations in the park and emotes.
Last month, when NBA 2k released the gameplay trailer for 2k25, the studio announced that it had completely overhauled the dribble engine, giving players more control and a more realistic experience compared to years past.
2k has also paired the new dribble engine with signature go-to shots for players, as well as shot-timing profiles that are unique to players to give fans a better feel for their favorite players.
On the defensive end, NBA 2k25 will include new quote-unquote "skill-based defensive cutoffs" and an updated shot contest system aimed at making defensive closeouts more realistic.
