Seattle Storm guard Nika Muhl is back again with her furry companion. This time around, she thrilled her over 521,000 followers on Instagram with a photo of her cat, Mad Max.
While last time, she showed off the cat during her fitness routine. This time, she posted on her Instagram story a FaceTime call with her sister, Hana Muhl, while the cat was taking up the entire screen of her phone.
Muhl is currently recovering from a torn ACL injury she sustained while playing overseas in the Turkish league with Besiktas. She joined the list of WNBA rookies who got injured in their rookie season, the others being Los Angeles Sparks' Cameroon Brink and Chicago Sky's Angel Reese.
She updated her followers on the status of her injury, where she vowed to come back stronger:
"Anyone that knows me knows I work my *ss off all the time. This time isn’t gonna be any different. I appreciate all the love and support so much—y'all really make this easier for my heart."
"I am grateful for all the people around me that are true testaments of what belief and perseverance can achieve after being denied hooping. This is just another opportunity for me to compete, this time against myself. Not to be cocky, but that’s an easy W," Muhl added.
The former UConn star had an underwhelming rookie season. She ended the season with 0.1 points, 0.6 rebounds, 0.4 assists, and 0.1 steals per game.
Nika Muhl was voted WNBA's most stylish player of 2024
Nika Muhl was voted the most stylish player in the WNBA last season, according to GQ Sports. She defeated notable names on the list, including Cameroon Brink, Kelsey Plum, and Gabby Williams.
Her fashion sense during her rookie season features a lot of variety, from basketball jerseys to designer dresses, hats, shorts, and even rocking heels.
The WNBA last season had seen its popularity soar, primarily due to the Caitlin Clark effect. However, this was also due to the 2024 draft class and the impact they had on attracting their fans to the league.
