Angel Reese's Rose BC teammate, Kahleah Copper, found herself in an exchange with a fan on social media. Copper had posted on X (formerly Twitter) seeking a stylist to help bring her fashion vision to life. However, a fan responded, advising her to focus on improving her skills in the gym instead of worrying about her style.
"Looking for a stylist," Copper tweeted. "I don’t really need your help, more like I need someone to get the clothes and ummmm bring my style vision to life. Collaborative collaborative. HIT ME."
A heckler caught Copper’s attention with an old profile photo, prompting a witty comeback from the WNBA star. The fan, an older man by the looks of his picture, had commented:
"Maybe worry more about getting in the gym?"
Copper caught on to his features and roasted him for not being in a nursing home. The Phoenix Mercury guard then pleaded with her fans to bark back at him.
"Not tweeting from the nursing home," Copper tweeted. "Get him yall."
Angel Reese and Kaleah Copper set to become teammates in Rose BC
WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier collaborated to create a new league called Unrivaled. The league will feature a plethora of WNBA stars who will compete in a series of 3-on-3 games. Unrivaled is set to tip off on Jan. 17 in Miami, Florida.
Some of these stars include the Chicago Sky's Angel Reese and the Phoenix Mercury's Kahleah Copper. Reese and Copper are set to be teammates at Rose BC. Given that the league will feature 3-on-3 games, their team's roster consists of only six players.
Aside from Angel Reese and Kahleah Copper, Rose BC includes three-time WNBA champion Chelsea Gray, the Washington Mystics' Brittney Sykes, one-time WNBA champion Azura Stevens and the Indiana Fever's Lexie Hull.
Unrivaled's inaugural season will feature six teams: Rose BC, Laces BC, Lunar Owls BC, Mist BC, Phantom BC and Vinyl BC. These six teams will compete in a round-robin format over the course of nine weeks, which includes the playoffs.
