Chicago Sky star Angel Reese shared images of her training on Instagram on Tuesday. Slamming her critics who have questioned her work ethic, the former LSU star posted a story on her account showing her working out during the off-season.

Angel Reese took to Instagram on Christmas Eve to share a picture of herself in the gym, silencing her doubters in the best way possible. The former NCAA champion, who has faced unfair criticism about her work ethic, shared a strong message on Instagram.

Posting the story to Future's song "Too Fast," Reese was seen working on the high cable pulley machine to target her Latissimus Dorsi muscles. She also tagged her sports performance trainer, Tony Ponton, in the story.

Reese also spoke on this unfair criticism during her podcast. In an episode featuring her manager Jeanine Ogbonnaya, the former Maryland and LSU star expressed how she lived a double life and didn't always post about being in the gym:

"People are like, ‘Angel, how come you don’t post basketball stuff?’ The thing is, why do I have to post in the gym? What about the other 143 women in the WNBA who don’t post they’re in the gym? I think it’s because I live a double life," she explained.

Angel Reese has faced criticism for her work rate off the court, as some believe she spends more time attending events than training. However, this criticism does not account for how individuals choose to use their social media and spend their free time.

Angel Reese on choosing the right people for her off-court lifestyle and image

Angel Reese has been a hot prospect for brands and companies ever since her NCAA championship win in 2023. The Maryland native guided the LSU Tigers to their first-ever championship against Caitlin Clark's Iowa Hawkeyes, making her a household name.

This sudden growth in her stock made her a candidate for several agencies eager to get her on board for their clients. Her name, image, and likeness valuation were reportedly at $1.8 million, which meant she had to be cautious about her associations. Speaking about this time on her podcast, Reese explained how she navigated choosing the best possible agencies and people to surround herself with:

"Yeah. so, like, I don’t think a lot of people at bigger agencies—they have so many clients—I don’t think they’re as in tune with what’s going on, even down to approving hair and makeup artists. I remember telling agencies, like, I’m telling y’all right now, if y’all not letting Jeanine in on this like it’s dead," she stated (12:12).

Despite many agencies looking to recruit Angel Reese during her rise to stardom, she stuck with Clear View Group, owned by Jeanine. The duo has since been very successful in building an image and lifestyle that appeals to the Chicago Sky forward, which includes signing with the right brands.

Jeanine, who has been with Reese since the beginning of her career, has been an influential part of Angel's growth and understands the lifestyle and off-court presence she wants to maintain. Together, they have built a brand around Angel, allowing her to endorse companies such as Reebok, Airbnb and Beats by Dre.
