Phoenix Mercury veteran Sophie Cunningham shared a couple of pictures of herself before and during a special event in Las Vegas. The guard attended a Las Vegas-themed party on Friday.
She shared snaps of the big night on Instagram stories, first showing off her outfit, which included a Cowboy hat, a black jacket over a black semi-transparent blouse, combined with jean shorts and black boots. She didn't add a caption to this story, only the location of the event, the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The following story included the six-year WNBA veteran rodeo competitors, Stetson Wright and JB Mauney.
"Worlds best bull riders in history," she captioned the picture.
Wright is an eight-time Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) World Champion, having won titles in all-around, bull riding and saddle bronc riding. As for Mauney, he competed in both the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) and Championship Bull Riding (CBR) circuits and even won the PBR World Champion twice in 2013 and 2015.
Sophie Cunningham finished her sixth campaign in the WNBA, helping the Mercury return to the postseason. She played 27.7 minutes per game in 40 outings, averaging 8.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game, shooting 42.9%, including 37.8% from deep.
The Mercury were ultimately eliminated by the Minnesota Lynx, who went all the way to the Finals before the New York Liberty defeated them in five games.
Sophie Cunningham sent NSFW message ahead of Mizzou-Kansas game
Sophie Cunningham showed her disdain for the University of Kansas as a Missouri alumni. The Jayhawks and Tigers men's basketball teams will clash on Sunday in a new edition of the Border War or Border Showdown matchup.
The WNBA player reacted to a video hyping up the much-anticipated duel, dropping a comment full of F-bombs against Kansas.
"I mean, I'll say it.... F**k KU! F**K KU! F**K KU!" Cunningham wrote.
There's no love for Kansas from Cunningham, even though she never faced that college during her time with the Tigers.
