Angel Reese, in her first offseason as a professional basketball player, is enjoying the moment. She trended on social media for calling out on-camera host Speedy Morman for his end-of-the-year celibacy quest.
Speedy Morman, in a post made by The Shade Room on Instagram, addressed the public, saying he planned to go celibate for the remainder of last year. Angel Reese responded by reminding him that the year was almost over and that there were two days left.
"2 days???"
This isn't the first time Reese and Speedy have interacted. It all began when he made an appearance on "Unapologetically Angel," where he avoided questions about his love life, and the Chicago Sky star had to jokingly threaten him with being kicked off her show.
Speedy trended for shutting down a social media user who used a racial slot on his livestream. He, however, kicked the user off and informed his followers that he hates when non-blacks use the "N-word," especially on his platform.
With the Unrivaled League starting on Jan.17, Reese invited him to Miami to watch her play in the tournament. While he hasn't confirmed if he will be present or not, it would be an interesting way for fans to see more of them.
Angel Reese is among Speedy Morman's best WNBA players
Angel Reese played host to Speedy Morman on a December episode of her podcast. During the course of the conversation, they spoke about the WNBA, and she inquired about his top five players in the league. He picked Reese as one of the players. However, he omitted Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark from his top-five list.
"Angel Reese, first and foremost, that's my dawg. Sabrina (Ionescu) is like that," Morman said. "Shoutout to Sabrina. A'ja's one of ones. Shoutout to Stewie (Breanna Stewart) as well ... Shoutout to Jonquel Jones, also one of them ones. Shoutout to Lexie Brown, she's one of them ones. Yeah, I love the WNBA."
Omitting Clark's name will definitely cause a frenzy on social media. But he showed his preferences by making his list filled with established veterans with Reese sandwiched in the mix.
