Chicago Sky star Angel Reese shared photos of her customized sneakers on Instagram on Wednesday.
The green Reebok sneakers is adorned with pink roses, in reference to Reese's Unrivaled team, the Rose Basketball Club. Reese shared the post by Marvin Baroota on her Instagram stories. She tagged the Rose BC account and added a rose emoji.
Baroota is a shoe designer and owner of SoLegit Customs. This is not the first collaboration between Reese and Baroota, with the designer providing customized and hand-painted shoes to the WNBA star this season.
Reese's sneakers have been turning heads due to their unique designs. In June, the rookie was asked by reporters to break down her kicks.
"So my guy Marvin, he's from Chicago. He's been customizing shoes for me since the first game," Reese said. "So, we've been doing so many different kinds of looks... He's super creative. He's done a great job. He's done a lot of Chicago Bulls and Bears players as well, so he's pretty known for this amazing work. And he does this within 24 hours too."
Baroota is from Des Plaines, Illinois and most of his clientele consists of professional athletes from Chicago. Currently, one of his biggest clients is Reese.
"She's one of the coolest people I've literally worked with, and I've worked with a lot," Baroota said via CBS News in June.
Unrivaled will start on Friday. Reese will team up with Chelsea Gray, Brittney Sykes, Kahleah Cooper, Lexie Hull and Azura Stevens under coach Nola Henry at Rose BC.
Angel Reese on joining shoe giant Reebok
Before last season started, Angel Reese discussed her decision to join Reebok over other shoe and apparel giants like Nike and Adidas, among others.
"What was it about Reebok? One, they didn't have a women's basketball player, a face, so I wanted to be that," Reese said.
Also a factor in Reese's decision is NBA legend and Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal, who serves as Reebok's president of basketball.
"Two, Shaq, you know my relationship with Shaq," Reese added. "And three, I like how they were branding everything, and they're letting me be the creative behind everything I want to do. I have my own shoe line coming out, merch, that y'all can be able to shop and like, stuff to our age."
Reese first partnered with Reebok before her last season with the LSU Tigers in 2023. In October, Sports Illustrated's Pat Benson reported that Reese inked a multi-year contract extension that includes a signature sneaker.
In December, Reese teased fans of her upcoming signature shoes to be released in 2026. Aside from her own signature shoe line, the shoe and apparel giant also unveiled on August 2024 the "Reebok by Angel," a collection of sneakers and apparel inspired by the young WNBA star.
