Natasha Cloud was one of the ball players tuning in to watch the presidential debate between candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. The Phoenix Mercury guard took to social media soon after to slam the former POTUS and while at it, showed support for Harris.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Cloud blasted Trump for his debate remarks, while also taking a dig at his supporters. She also highlighted how "random" some of Trump's statements were.
"This y’all’s mans👀😂 Like yall really claiming him? He truly just rambles random ass sh** that is not true😂💀 Im talkin bout if this man said 2+2 was 5 y’all would go to hell defending this reality tv personality💀 whewwww yall different"
From fact-checks to pivots, to some of the choicest barbs, the presidential debate had it all and has been one of the hot topics doing the rounds on social media along with the WNBA as the NBA is going through a quiet offseason. Natasha Cloud, on her part, seems to have made her intentions clear as to who she sided with when it came to the debate.
Technical foul trouble landed Natasha Cloud in soup last week
Earlier, Natasha Cloud was suspended for a game after her seventh tech foul during a loss to the Las Vegas Aces. Per WNBA rules, any player with seven technical fouls will be handed an automatic one-game suspension. Additional suspensions for every two subsequent technicals will follow.
Cloud has been a key member of the Mercury that's punched their playoff ticket after a rather inconsistent season. She has been averaging 11.6 points and 6.8 assists per game. She has been a key facilitator and playmaker known for her on-court awareness and ability to turn the heat on offense when needed.
In the 34 games played so far, Cloud has also recorded 4.7 rebounds per contest along with 1.4 steals and 0.6 blocks. She is shooting 39.6% from the field, and 32.7% from the deep, and has been an 81.9% free throw shooter for the Mercury.
With four games left in the regular season, Natasha Cloud and Phoenix will try and get to the .500 mark and make a deeper run in the playoffs. They play the Connecticut Sun at home next, followed by a two-game road trip against the Chicago Sky and the LA Sparks. They conclude their regular stretch with a final home stand against the Seattle Storm.
