WNBA fans erupted with contrasting emotions after Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese shared a picture with Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark. Reese and Clark have shared a long rivalry since their battle days in college when the Sky rookie played for LSU and Maryland while Fever rookie Clark was with Iowa.

Reese and Clark teamed up for the first time in their careers for the 2024 WNBA All-Star game. The duo put on a dazzling display in Team WNBA's 117-109 win against Team USA at the Footprint Center in Phoenix on Saturday.

Angel Reese took to Instagram on Monday and shared a series of pictures from the All-Star game. One of the pictures was of Reese and Caitlin Clark.

Hoops fans dropped candid reactions to Reese sharing a picture with her long-time rival.

One of the fans wrote:

"FROM A PURELY BASKETBALL VEIW POINT , REESE KNOWS WHO THE RAIN MAKER IS."

One of the fans came to Reese's defense and hit out at the Sky rookie's naysayers.

"The “Angel is jealous of CC” agenda got put to rest this weekend."

Another X user voiced the desire to watch Reese and Clark play for the same team in the WNBA.

"Any smart manager will be trying to get them on the same team! Goodbye records."

A couple of WNBA followers slammed the "hate agenda" circulating around Reese and Clark.

"Folks want them to hate each other so bad. It’s not working I hope the Rookie Hate agenda continues to fail lmao," a fan commented.
"If they both say it’s no beef, then there’s no beef. I take their word for it. I don’t make assumptions. It’s just a game. And as you just tweeted, we do not know them," opined another X user.

One of the fans wished that the All-Star game lay the roadmap for a healthy relationship between Reese and Clark.

"Nice to see! Maybe she finally realizes they don't have to be enemies, just because many in the masses want them to be. I hope this is the start of something good."

Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark are locked in a fierce battle for the prestigious Rookie of the Year award. With record-breaking performances in the first half of the season, both rookies earned their maiden All-Star game selection.

In the All-Star game, Reese and Clark continued to break records. The Chicago rookie created history by becoming the first rookie to notch a double-double in the All-Star game. The Indiana rookie etched her name in history by becoming the first rookie to record 10 assists.

Reese came off the bench and finished the game with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Clark was one of the starters for Team WNBA. She scored four points and dished out 10 assists.
