Rickea Jackson and Brittney Griner had a heated moment during Tuesday's Phoenix Mercury and LA Sparks duel at Crypto.com Arena. The Mercury escaped with a win, but one of their best players was ejected for nearly coming to blows with the Sparks rookie.
As Celeste Taylor was shooting a free throw, Griner and Jackson were next to each other waiting for the shot. After Taylor made the free throw, Jackson and Griner exchanged words while the rest of the players prepared to resume action. They got closer and then became physical, with Griner and Jackson seemingly squaring up to go at it.
Following the game, both players took to social media to share their opinions about it. Rickea Jackson wasn't very appreciative of one fan who said that she ran away from Griner and made it clear that she was trying to get the right distance to size up.
"not rickea running away 🤣🤣🤣," one fan wrote.
"@alyssadpetty creating space for the size up bookie butt 😚," Jackson responded.
Jackson did not let the comment slide and made sure she answered it. The on-court incident led referees to eject both Griner and Jackson as the rest of the players tried to calm things down.

"come and get me then!" she replied to a fan who said she should go back to Russia.
"And yo a** would of been someone b***h," Griner replied to another fan.
