A'ja Wilson is about to make her much-anticipated debut with the USA Basketball women's team this Monday at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Team USA will try to win a record-breaking eighth gold medal in Paris and Wilson will be the leader of the team amid a terrific WNBA season.

Before the first game of the tournament for the women, Wilson received a big shoutout from a major artist. During a conversation with Glamour Magazine earlier this week, Wilson admitted that the song that puts her in the mood to compete is 'On My Mama' by Victoria Monet.

"I would have to say the song that pumps me up would have to be 'On My Mama' by Victoria Monet," Wilson revealed.

The Atlanta-born singer-songwriter saw this and reposted the video on her Instagram stories, sending a supporting message to A'ja Wilson.

"Dare I jump with some stats? 😭
"🥺🥺@aja22wilson that makes me so happy!! MVP! Rooting for you & Team USA in Paris," she captioned the post.

Wilson has already become the leader of her team, picking things right where she left them in the WNBA. During the lone preparation game for Team USA, Wilson scored 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead them to an easy 84-57 win against the European team.

A'ja Wilson could break 3 Olympic records in Paris 2024

When she sets foot on the court against Japan on Monday, A'ja Wilson will have the chance to break three Olympic records. The Las Vegas Aces superstar can rewrite history in a new quest for the gold medal.

#1 Most blocks in a game

This would be a terrific achievement for Wilson, who currently leads the WNBA in blocks per game with 2.9. The Aces center could set a new record for the most blocks in women's Olympic basketball if she blocks more than nine shots, a mark set by Polona Dornik in 1984.

#2 Most rebounds in a single game

Wilson is putting on remarkable numbers this WNBA season, which includes a career-high 12.0 rebounds per game. She could break the record for the most rebounds in a game if she grabs more than 21, which has only been done by Uljana Semjonova and Elena Baranova.

#3 Most points in a single game

If A'ja Wilson, current scoring leader in the 2024 WNBA, can score 40 points in a single game, she would become the first woman to do it in women's Olympic basketball history. The closest person to this mark was Evladiya Slavtchea in 1988.
