Sabrina Ionescu showed her support to her soon-to-be teammate Satou Sabally in the new Unrivaled league. Sabally posted on Friday a picture of her in a cozy winter look on her Instagram account.

Sabally rocked a Bigfoot sweater that retails for $1,543, according to Far Fetch, to pair with her Timberlands boots and white handbag:

“Some content,” the Dallas Wings forward wrote in her caption.

Ionescu was one of the many who praised her look in the comments section. The New York Liberty star wrote a two-word reaction to compliment Sabally, especially her boots.

“Okay Timbs,” she wrote, referring to Sabally’s Timberlands boots.

Ionescu and Sabally have a long history together, as they were once teammates in college at Oregon. However, their senior year was cut short by the pandemic in 2020, putting an abrupt end to their college campaign.

They have both since made a name for themselves in the WNBA. The two were the top picks of the 2020 draft, with Ionescu going number one to the Liberty, while Sabally going second to the Wings.

Ionescu recently led the Liberty to the 2024 WNBA title, while Sabally had her best year in 2023, winning the league’s Most Improved Player award, on top of the All-WNBA first-team selection.

The two will be reunited in the new Unrivaled league, a 3-on-3 tournament that will feature numerous WNBA stars. Ionescu and Sabally are set to headline the Phantom Club in the league’s first-ever tournament in January.

Ionescu averaged 18.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game last season, while Saballyn put up 17.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per night, providing their Unrivaled squad with a one-two punch in the upcoming tournament.

Sabrina Ionescu shows gratitude for a momentous year

Sabrina Ionescu went to Instagram to express her gratitude for a packed year for her career, which included success in the 2024 Paris Olympics and the WNBA season. She also shared her thumb surgery to fix an injury she picked during last season’s finals.

"26, thank you ✨ Married my best friend, won a gold medal 🥇, and a WNBA championship 🏆 all in the same year. God is good. Beyond grateful for everything this year had to offer, and thankful for everyone a part of my circle🫶🏼 27… Let’s get it! ps: getting my thumb fixed was quite the bday present 👍🏼," Ionescu wrote in an Instagram post.

The surgery will keep her out of action for a few weeks, but there are no indications yet that it will affect her anticipated debut in the Unrivaled League, which is set to start on January 17 in Miami.
