Sabrina Ionescu has followed in the footsteps of the biggest basketball stars ever, like Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Filipino-focused sneaker brand Titan 22 is set to collaborate with Nike for Ionescu’s sneaker Sabrina 2, to be launched in the Spring of 2025.
Ionescu, who led the New York Liberty to the WNBA championship this year, will now be one of the basketball superstars with whom Titan 22 collaborated. Some of the previous shoes the brand has been a part of are the LeBron 16 Low and Air Jordan 2 Low.
Ionescu shared the news on Instagram, showing off the leaked looks of the new sneakers.
The Titan 22 x Nike Sabrina 2 will have a multi-colored colorway with beige and teal shades. It will have colorful panel side panels, along with the heel and the sock line. The swoosh also features a unique inverted look colored pink and purple.
The shoes’ slip sole also features unique details such as the words “inspire” and “future” embedded on jerseys held by two players. It's designed with colorful flowers and other basketball designs on top of Sabrina’s logo to exemplify the spring feel.
Sabrina Ionescu signed a deal with Nike in 2020 before launching her first signature shoes in 2023, quickly becoming one of the most used shoes in the WNBA.
Ionescu has become one of the best players in the WNBA since being drafted as the top overall pick by the Liberty in 2020. This year was her biggest yet, as she not only won her first WNBA title but also won the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics with Team USA.
The Liberty guard had a career year in 2024, averaging 18.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.0 steals per game.
