Satou Sabally has become one of the biggest stars in the WNBA since being drafted second overall by the Dallas Wings in 2020. With her superstardom growing each season, Sabally has been a priority signing for most sneaker brands, including Adidas, whose value in 2025, per Forbes, is $19.9 B.

On Thursday, Adidas signed Sabally to a multi-year sneaker deal. It's now her official shoe brand in the new Unrivaled league and the 2025 WNBA season.

Adidas women’s basketball president and two-time WNBA MVP Candace Parker presented the former WNBA All-Star and Unrivaled league star the deal at the Adidas headquarters in her home country, Germany.

Parker praised Sabally for her all-around play, which helped women’s basketball grow in the WNBA and as part of the German national team.

“Satou was a priority addition to the adidas Basketball family … Her versatility and commitment to making an impact made her a no brainer for the adidas roster. Satou is a unicorn on and off the court and we’re thrilled for her to help in building the future of adidas Basketball,” Parker said.

The WNBA legend retired in 2023 and has seen Sabally grow from her rookie year into becoming one of the most versatile players in the league with the Wings.

In the past season, Sabally averaged 17.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game in 15 outings. She underwent shoulder surgery in last year’s offseason, which caused her to miss most of the start of the year.

Now, Sabally plays with the Phantom Club in the Unrivaled league alongside reigning WNBA champion and New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu.

WNBA champion shares she is willing to listen to Satou Sabally on offseason deliberation

Last week, Satou Sabally announced that she will not return to the Dallas Wings next season. Sabally’s revelation caused a fuss among WNBA teams and their players as they aim to snag the services of the all-around forward.

One of them is Sabrina Ionescu, who looks to have her former college teammate on board with the New York Liberty. However, Ionescu cleared that she is lending her ears to listen to her deliberations and not push her to sign with the Liberty

“I think my (experience) is little bit different, because we played together in college," she said. "I would say I'm trying to help and advise her, regardless if she comes to New York or not. I've known her family really well, know her really well, and I want what's best for her.
It's just been kind of hearing what her goals and priorities are, trying to help, be that kind of friend that she can talk to about the decision she makes. I'm never going to push her one way or another, no matter how bad I want to play with her again.”

Liberty tops Sabally's potential destinations, but the team can only acquire her through trade.
