Ionescu will compete in Unriavled's inaugural season alongside Natasha Cloud, Satou Sabally, Brittney Griner, Marina Mabrey and Katie Lou Samuelson. The fans were excited to hear the news and flooded the comments section of Unriavled's Instagram post to express their opinions.

On Dec. 14, Sabrina Ionescu gave a three-word update on her injury status. The NY Liberty star uploaded a video on her Instagram story showing her post-surgery shooting skills. She accompanied a caption with her post informing her 1.4 million followers of her recovery status.

Sabrina Ionescu suffered a thumb injury in game 4 of the 2024 WNBA Finals against the Minnesota Lynx. However, she did her part and helped her team secure their first-ever championship.
After the league went into the off-season, Ionescu underwent surgery to stabilize the ulnar collateral ligament in her right thumb. As per ESPN, the Liberty star will be back in action with four weeks of rehabilitation. She underwent surgery on Dec. 6, so the fans can expect to see her play in the opening game for Phantom BC.
