Connecticut Sun guard-forward DiJonai Carrington broke down her fashion philosophy and her process of picking outfits. WNBA players have shown off their incredible fashion sense this season and Carrington is one of the players that have taken the next step in flaunting her style.
Carrington may be a defensive nightmare for most players on the court but she tends to have a feminine approach off the court. Since the season started, she has not been shy in promoting her style, and fans have loved it. Recently, she broke down her preferences in clothing and how she decides what to wear.
"I think for my style, I got to take it to the next level and like, add layers and accessories," Carrington said. "But I don't really like a lot of clothing on, so that's the problem for me with layers. I want my skin to show, I want it to be tight.
"I'm into that sexy, chic, super girly but still sporty vibe. It just depends on the day."
Carrington also said she chooses her clothes depending on how she feels during game day. The San Diego native shared that she'd take a nap after the shootaround and choose what to wear afterward.
Her pregame outfits are usually promoted on social media, especially on her Instagram account. She's posted a few of her outfits on her account this season and it looks like Carrington will keep showing off her style.
Carrington is in her fourth season in the league and has shown improvement on the court. She's currently averaging 12.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists. The 5 ft.11 player is shooting 42.5% from the field this season.

DiJonai Carrington mocks Caitlin Clark; gets backing from media member
The Sun played against the Indiana Fever on Monday and walked away with an 89-72 win. That was their third meeting against each other and they've won every matchup so far. During one play, Indiana's rookie Caitlin Clark drew a foul on DiJonai Carrington. However, Carrington didn't think it was supposed to be a foul and mocked Clark by imitating a flopping motion.
Her actions weren't well received by Clark's fans and was criticized for it. However, Rachel Nichols backs the Connecticut player's actions.
"Caitlin is not a delicate flower but we have to stop pretending that. She is an athlete, she knows how to play basketball. And in the NBA, we see it over and over again. People exaggerate contact or flop, then they get mocked for it. How many times has Chris Paul mocked Patrick Beverley and Patrick Beverley mocked Chris Paul?" Nichols said on UNDISPUTED.
Nichols thinks that Carrington and Clark were simply being competitive and fans shouldn't look too much into it.
