Angel Reese keeps re-writing WNBA history. The former LSU star took the court on Wednesday to face the Atlanta Dream with her Chicago Sky, leading the squad to a comfortable 78-69 win following a terrific fourth quarter.

Reese recorded her 14th consecutive double-double of the season, extending her WNBA record. The No. 7 pick finished with 11 points and 13 rebounds in 30 minutes. As notable as the performance was, fans found out how Reese scored the final two points of the game.

With 6.1 seconds left on the clock, the forward asked for the ball in the paint. Chennedy Carter passed the ball to Marina Mabrey, who spotted Angel Reese and set her up at the post. She got fouled by Tina Charles and received two free throws. Reese made both to finish with 11 points.

"Angel Reese shameless stat padding to get a double-double 😭," one fan wrote.

Plenty of fans disagreed with the decision, as the game was already 76-69 in favor of the Sky and there were only six seconds left. She was accused of stat-padding by many folks on X/Twitter.

"This needs to go viral for everyone to see that she cares more about stats than winning," one fan wrote.
"Begging for the ball up 7 at the end of the game 😭😭😳," another fan joked.
"Yeah you can’t be doing this.. That’s disappointing to see," another one said.

Others criticized Reese's fans and even brought up Caitlin Clark's name in the conversation.

"It’s sad seeing some of the people rooting for this are NBA fans… ain’t no way," one fan noted.

Angel Reese sends a message to fans after Dream game

Following the game, Angel Reese addressed fans on social media. She sent a clear message while celebrating that her team won again.

"DUBBBBB (ima stop stressing yall out)🤭," the forward tweeted.

At this point, she seems to be stressing both her fans and critics by taking so long to complete the double-doubles. A couple of days ago, it was brought to light how she caught five consecutive rebounds off her own missed layups.

NBA Twitter accused Angel Reese of stat-padding, too, and the allegations keep coming.
