"Shaq somewhere mad as hell" - Angel Reese's playful reaction to Mikey Williams being single has fans abuzz

Mikey Williams had taken the basketball world by storm after dominating his high school opponents through sheer athleticism. Williams, now a college student-athlete for the University of Central Florida (UCF), recently appeared as a guest on Angel Reese’s "Unapologetically Angel" podcast to discuss numerous topics about basketball and life.

In one part of the podcast, Reese had a playful reaction when Williams admitted that he is currently single and ready to mingle. The Chicago Sky star screamed as soon as Williams confirmed his status, before telling her audience about it.

Fans on social media were then quick to quip jokes about the clip as they noticed how Reese reacted to Williams’ answers. Looking at the comments, the two were shipped together for their chemistry in the interview.

However, some fans made jokes about when Shaquille O’Neal was a guest on Reese’s podcast and commented on how the WNBA player could sell t-shirts while dunking wearing her "little shorts."

“Shaq somewhere mad as helllll,” one fan said.

“Shaq saw this and fell to his knees 😭,” said one fan.

Meanwhile, other fans noted how Williams and Reese gelled throughout the program, while some pointed out how their personalities do not match each other.

Reese announced her podcast last August and its first episode aired on September 5. Reese had a successful first year in the WNBA, making it into the All-Star teams and averaging 13.5 points, 12.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists in her rookie season.

Angel Reese says she does not want to get into a public relationship

After her breakup with ex-boyfriend Cam’Ron Fletcher, Angel Reese said she did not want to be in a public relationship anymore. Reese made the statement in one of her previous podcast episodes.

“I don’t think I’ll ever get in, like I had a public breakup but like obviously I didn’t get what you received. But I don’t think I would get into another public relationship unless I’m getting married,” she said.

Fletcher is a collegiate basketball player for the Florida State University. The two confirmed their breakup in March 2024 after almost six years of knowing each other.

“Like, obviously, his name wasn’t as big as mine but like just being able to see them commenting on his pictures of my name. Like just leave it, like I don’t like that, like I agree it’s just too much for me,” Reese said.

Reese finished her collegiate career in LSU, before being drafted by the Chicago Sky as the no. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft. She finished second in the Rookie of the Year, voting against Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark.
