Caitlin Clark isn't part of Unrivaled but was in the spotlight momentarily during the league's inaugural season's opening night on Friday. One of her Indiana Fever teammates, Lexie Hull, was in action for the Rose BC team, where she's teamed up with Clark's arch-rival, Angel Reese.
Rose BC was in action against Vinyl BC on opening night and Hull was in action during the 3x3 matchup. When the Fever player hit a 3, one of the announcers revealed Hull's candid statement on Clark's impact on her career.
"She credits Caitlin Clark for saving her career," the announcer said while talking about Chelsea Gray's comments on Hull.
Hull had been in the WNBA for two years before Clark's debut. She was drafted sixth by the Indiana Fever. Hull had mediocre seasons before she teamed up with Clark. She averaged 3.8 points, shooting 26.7%, including 18.6% from 3 in her rookie year. Hull averaged 4.6 points, shooting 37.2%, including 21.7% from 3 in the following season.
Lexie Hull exploded for a breakout season once Caitlin Clark joined the Fever in her third year. She played 34 games, starting 11 times, tallying 5.5 points on an efficient shooting split of 44.1%, including 47.1% from 3-point range.

Caitlin Clark's Fever teammates Aliyah Boston and Lexie Hull squared off in Friday's Unrivaled opening night game between Rose BC and Vinyl BC. Boston earned the bragging rights as Vinyl BC won the clash 79-73.
Hull finished the game with three points, making her only shot attempt of the night from 3. Meanwhile, Boston had six points, seven rebounds and two assists. She shot 3 of 9. Boston's Vinyl BC was up by double digits at one point, but Hull's Rose BC curtailed that lead to two.
However, Boston and Co. held their own down the stretch to grab the win. Rhyne Howard was the star of the night for Vinyl BC after tallying 33 points, shooting six 3s on 12 attempts. Dearica Hamby played an excellent cameo with 17 points.
Meanwhile, Kahlea Copper and Chelsea Gray shone for Rose BC. The former had 24 points, and the latter scored 21. Angel Reese finished with a 10-point, 14-rebound double-double.
