Caitlin Clark led the Indiana Fever to a hard-fought 110-109 win over the Dallas Wings on Sunday, September 15. This marked a return to winning ways for the team after they dropped two consecutive games to the Las Vegas Aces during the week. The rookie sensation was on a mission, dropping 35 points to secure the victory.

Despite Clark's good performance, veteran analyst Jason Whitlock pointed out some questionable behavior from her. He took to X to accuse her of 'whining' and hurting the Fever with her actions after not being granted a foul.

"This is how Caitlin Clark’s lack of emotional control and constant whining hurt the Fever. She was not fouled. Chose to whine. No hustle on D. Easy 2 points for Dallas."

The video shows Caitlin trying to post up Arike Ogunbowale without success, which leads to a fastbreak from the Wings. Clark didn't return to defense with the required speed as she was actively looking for the referee. The Wings took this chance and got an easy bucket at the expense of Clark.

In the end, they escaped this game with a one-point win, their 20th victory of the season. The Fever is now one game over the .500 mark with a pending game against the Washington Mystics next Thursday.

Caitlin Clark scored 35 points, grabbed three rebounds and dished eight assists to help her squad reach the promised land after a tumultuous week.

NBA star lauds Caitlin Clark after record-breaking game

Before she took on the Dallas Wings, Caitlin Clark faced the Las Vegas Aces twice. She struggled to make an impact on both games but still found ways to give her team a chance to compete, especially during Friday's matchup.

She set a record, for the most assists in a single WNBA season, breaking the previous one, which belonged to Alyssa Thomas (316).

Chris Paul, one of the best playmakers in NBA history and the player with the third most assists of all time (11,894), took to social media to congratulate Clark. In the process, he highlighted a key part of their game.

"Assisting is what we do. Congrats Caitlin Clark on breaking the WNBA single season assist record!"

At the time of writing, she has dished out 337 assists, extending the record with one game left to play. The Indiana Fever have become one of the hottest teams in the WNBA after the Olympic break while Clark became one of the best players in the league.
