The Aces star highlighted that her team let Reese get away in some cases and the Sky rookie capitalized on those opportunities. She pointed out that Reese is great in her dominant areas on the court and her performance today gave valuable experience to her team about guarding her.
Lastly, she highlighted that it was a great competitive game and both teams did what they were supposed to do and learned from the experience.
Angel Reese netted 18 points and collected 11 rebounds scoring yet another double-double. She matched the WNBA record for the most consecutive double-doubles set by WNBA legend Candace Parker.
Reese is on a nine double-double streak right now and if she manages to repeat the same performance on Sunday against the Lynx, she will surpass Parker and become the player with the highest double-double streak in WNBA history.
Angel Reese says she would wear A'ja Wilson's shoes if not for her Rebook deal
Before their first meeting on the court on Thursday night, Angel Reese showed respect to A'ja Wilson. The Chicago Sky rookie affirmed that she would wear Wilson's shoes if she was not bound by the Reebok deal.
"I wish if I could wear Nike, I would definitely wear her shoe for sure. But I'm happy for her, everything that she's doing, and she continues to lead the way in so many different ways," Reese said.
The Sky rookie also remarked that A'ja Wilson deserved the Nike deal for a signature shoe that the sportswear giant announced last month. She revealed that the Aces' star served as an inspiration for her not only on the court but off the court as well.
