A’ja Wilson had famous rapper Usher courtside, watching the Las Vegas Aces fall to the Chicago Sky. The two-time defending WNBA champion took a picture with Usher and presented him her jersey to cap off the night despite the loss.

Wilson watched as other fans of the singer rushed to him after the game to take pictures before going to the Aces’ star to greet her.

"They ain't did s*** all day, but they wanna take a motherf***ing picture with Usher," said Wilson, following the 93-85 loss against the Sky.

The moment went viral on social media to which her teammate, Sydney Colson, responded and cleared the air about the moment.

“Lol good try, but she was talkin bout the r*fs,” said Colson in response to a fan.

The remark was made as the Aces rued the referees’ officiating in their game versus the Sky.

Wilson finished the game with a team-high 28 points and 14 rebounds in 37 minutes of action, while Colson contributed three points, one rebound and two assists in just six minutes.

During Wilson’s moment with Usher, Colson and Jackie Young were seen all smiles watching the renowned singer finally meet the WNBA star on the Aces’ home court.

A’ja Wilson pleaded to bring Usher to the Aces' championship celebration two years ago

A’ja Wilson’s moment with Usher was two years in the making, dating back to the first WNBA championship of the Aces’ current repeat run. Wilson pleaded for Usher to attend their championship parade following their WNBA title win in 2022. However, the plea did not come to fruition even after the Aces repeated as champions in 2023.

"Usher, I better see you, Usher," she said in the post-game press conference when they won the title in 2022. "I'm not playing with you."

Known to be a huge fan of Usher, Wilson attended Usher’s concert last year and was serenaded by the singer on stage. She was alongside her teammates at the concert as they celebrated their championship.

After the game versus the Sky, Usher invited the entire team to watch his concert as he was a resident of Las Vegas. Continuing to be one of the top contenders this season, the Aces may very well get their third straight championship this season as they are standing at 16-8 and have won eight of their last 10 games following early struggles.

The loss to the Sky ended the Aces' four-game winning streak, but they remain the fourth-best team in the league in terms of record.
