One of the biggest rumors this WNBA offseason is Satou Sabally's potential team-up with Caitlin Clark. The two-time All-Star has been linked with the Indiana Fever and could form a Big 3 with Clark and Aliyah Boston. On Tuesday, the Dallas Wings player posted a selfie of herself wearing a sweater on her Instagram story.
However, Clark's fans theorized that the trade for Sabally could happen as the colors of her clothing are similar to the Fever's team colors. The German-American star wore a red, collared sweater that featured a bit of blue, white and yellow.
Fans quickly began to speculate about Sabally's future.
"Lmao she wanna tell us so bad," a fan commented.
"I know one thing, she is definitely pulling on Fever Fan’s heartstrings!😬 💝 She is growing the anticipation, big time!" another fan said.
"she dropping them hintsss," another fan said.
A couple of fans also picked up on the apparent message.
"If this isn’t a giveaway then I don’t know what is," one fan speculated.
"Those colors remind me of something," a fan commented.
However, other fans aren't buying what Sabally has teased on her social media.
"shes f***ing with us and laughing her a*s off i just know it," one fan said.
Satou Sabally reacts to Caitlin Clark stalker report
On Monday, it was reported that Caitlin Clark's stalker in Texas had been charged. The Fever star is reportedly "very fearful" for her life after receiving messages from the stalker. The texts include statements like “driving around your house 3x a day” and “I’m getting tickets. I’m sitting behind the bench.”
Amid this issue, Sabally went on X (formerly Twitter), to speak out on the matter.
"Oh, I hope you never go through that 😭 💔I'm terrified honestly," Sabally posted.
"It's heartbreaking to hear about women going through such traumatic experiences. But it's empowering to see people speaking out and supporting one another. Solidarity and awareness are crucial steps towards creating a safer and more just world for all," she added.
According to reports, the stalker has been charged with Level 5 felony stalking. Prosecutors have asked for a restraining order to prevent him from attending important sports stadiums in Indiana. The restraining order will prevent him from entering Hinkle Fieldhouse and Gain Bridge Fieldhouse.
Court documents revealed that the man traveled from Texas to Indiana and sent threats and sexually explicit messages to the WNBA star.
