Almost ten years after she graduated from Notre Dame, then-freshman guard Hannah Hidalgo broke one of her long-standing records of steals made on Jan 18, 2024. While Diggins Smith had eight games with 6+ steals, Hidalgo went further with nine games.

After her successful career with the Fighting Irish, Skylar Diggins-Smith took her game to the WNBA, where she was drafted as the third overall pick by the Tulsa Shock (later renamed Dallas Wings) in the 2013 WNBA draft.

She now plays for the Seattle Storm after joining in free agency from the Phoenix Mercury in February 2024. Smith is set to feature for the Lunar Owls in Unrivaled, the professional women's 3x3 basketball league, slated to begin January 17, 2025.
