DiJonai Carrington and other WNBA stars stunned the fans as they made their way to Target Center. The Connecticut Sun and Minnesota Lynx faced each other on Thursday night and the stars from both teams arrived at the arena in stunning outfits dazzling the fans on the 4th of July.
The official Instagram handle of the WNBA posted pictures of the stars arriving at the arena. They accompanied the post with a caption synonymous with the occasion.
"Somebody start the fireworks," WNBA captioned their post.
The first picture on the post featured the Sun star Olivia Nelson who was dressed in a sparkling outfit. She wore a shiny body suit that sparkled. She rocked an oversized denim jacket with the fit and carried a grey-colored handbag to go alongside her fit.
DiJonai Carrington, however, stole the show and had the boldest among all the stars featured in the post. Carrington wore a trendy outfit flaunting her modern fashion sense.
She wore a pink jacket over her light brown top and paired it with pink joggers. She wore her blonde hair down and carried two handbags with her. She went with sneakers with a white and black color scheme as her preferred footwear for the night and wore black sunglasses to complete her look for the night.
DiJonai Carrington says her shooting improved after she cut her fingernails
D'Jonai Carrington has been an exceptional player for her team this season. She is the second-leading scorer for her team just behind Sun's star player DeWanna Bonner.
In a recent interview, Carrington revealed that she has seen improvement in her shooting ability after she cut her fingernails. She even added a pun in her statement at the end.
"I probably made more three in the last two than I had the whole season," DiJonai Carrington said. "I started my count over when I cut my nails, I told y'all that a couple of weeks ago. I am probably shooting close to 50% since I have done that. So sometime you gotta not try to be cute."
DiJonai Carrington wasn't lying about her improved shooting prowess as in her team's latest 78-73 victory over the Lynx, she shot 75% from the three-point line. She has been averaging 13.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists this season and is shooting more threes than usual.
