Brown on the other hand will be preparing for her fourth season in Los Angeles as she signed a two-year contract extension with the Sparks during the off-season. The $195,226 contract will see her earn $97,613 this season and $98,818 in 2026 before she becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2027.
Lexie Brown gives her take on JuJu Watkins closing in on Caitlin Clark's record
JuJu Watkins has been a sensation in the women's basketball scene ever since her high school days. The USC Trojans guard has been one of the biggest stars in women's basketball as she takes over the hype left by Caitlin Clark. Lexie Brown appears to greatly admire the young star and expressed her praise on X (formerly Twitter).
Tweeting about the star's performance after USC's 78-58 win over Michigan on December 30 the Sparks star wrote:
"I love watching JuJu play so much," Brown tweeted.
The reaction came after Watkins dropped 31 points in 37 minutes against the 25th-ranked team and recorded her 17th 30-point performance in her two years in college. This means Watkins edges closer to a record held by Caitlin Clark, who achieved 23 30-point performances in her first two years in Iowa.
