"Taylor needs to stop by Indy for a game" - Fans buzz after Lynx shade Taylor Swift and Caitlin Clark's Fever in schedule reveal

WNBA fans are buzzing after the Minnesota Lynx seemingly threw some shade on Taylor Swift and Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever during their clever schedule reveal. The Lynx used a creative way to show the team's schedule for the 2025 WNBA season on Monday.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the Lynx shared their schedule for next season using a Spotify playlist. They took a shot at some of the teams they dominated last season such as the Atlanta Dream, Washington Mystics and Las Vegas Aces.

It was good banter since they did it to almost every team, including the Fever.

"The whole world listened to this artist in 2024. But it wasn't our cup of tea," the Lynx wrote about the Fever.

They also used an image of Clark getting blocked by Alanna Smith with an instrumental of Swift's Who's Afraid of Little Old Me from her The Tortured Poets Department album.

However, some fans are not thrilled with the shade on Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever and Taylor Swift. The video also showed that the Minnesota Lynx are not a fan of the popular pop star.

Fans began campaigning for Taylor Swift to appear in an Indiana Fever game next season. Swift recently performed three straight nights in Indianapolis to start November, with Caitlin Clark attending the first two.

"Calling all Swifties to shout out @taylorswift13 to come to her first W game in Indy," a fan campaigned.

"Are y'all letting them slander like this swifties?" one fan asked.

"I love when comparing someone to Taylor is used as an insult as if she's not one the most successful people on the planet. Like?!?! So you agree… caitlin is the face of the industry and will end up with more accolades than any of her peers?" another fan questioned.

In a way, Clark and Swift are parallel in terms of their popularity. They both have their diehard fans, the good and the bad. They also have a bunch of haters who want them to fail and criticize every move they make.

Caitlin Clark is a huge fan of Taylor Swift

As mentioned above, Caitlin Clark attended Taylor Swift's concert twice in early November when the artist brought her Eras Tour in Indianapolis. Clark grew up listening to Swift, with her Fearless album as a source of inspiration to not be afraid of anything on the court.

With Clark's popularity on the rise, maybe the Indiana Fever can find a way to invite Swift and watch a game at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse next season.
