Angel Reese and Chicago Sky defeated the defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces 93-85 on Tuesday night. Reese got back to scoring double-doubles after she failed to uphold her 15-game double-double streak in the clash against the New York Liberty on Friday.
The fans were impressed with Reese's performance and expressed their opinions on social media. She scored 13 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out three assists and had an impressive +/- of +26. Her supporters hailed the Sky rookie in the comments section of an X (formerly Twitter) post that detailed Reese's stats for the night.
One fan praised Reese and claimed that the Sky falls apart without her.
"She was a +26… no one else on the team was above 10. This team falls apart without her," one fan said.
Other fans hopped on the praise train and showered their applause for the Sky rookie.
" +26. Like we saw in REAL TIME, the large lead going away once she was subbed out. And them pushing away when she was there!!" another fan said.
"I’m sorry but +26 is crazy. Especially since Aces cut down a 21 point lead. Angel’s game is so underrated. It’s the little things. ANYWAYS! DUB!!" one fan said.
" +26 means don't question AR5's impact ever again," another fan said.
While most fans were amazed at Angel Reese and praised her, others pointed out the flaws in her game.
"We still hyping up someone that can’t make layups?" one fan said.
"Let’s leave out the 4/10 and add the plus minus of +26 to make her look like she played good," another fan said.
While Angel Reese did have an impressive +/- stat, she still had an average shooting night. She shot just 4 of 10 from the field and did not attempt any three-pointers.
