Team USA took on Germany in their second exhibition game ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The American team was coming off a 117-109 loss against the WNBA All-Stars, led by Arike Ogunbowale, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.
A'ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart picked up from where they left off in the first half of the 2024 WNBA season. The Las Vegas Aces center scored 19 points, while the New York Liberty forward added 14.
Wilson shot 53.8% from the field and 100% from the free-throw line. Stewart wasn't as sharp as her teammate, shooting 36.3% from the floor. However, she made 50% of her four 3-point attempts and five of her six free-throw attempts.
Jewell Lloyd made the most of her 14 minutes of action, scoring 11 points on 66.6% shooting from the field. Meanwhile, Alyssa Thomas and Sabrina Ionescu contributed eight points each to lead Team USA past the European country.
Germany welcomed back Dallas Wings star Satou Sabally, who dropped eight points on 3-for-17 from the floor. Luisa Geiselsoder stepped up for Germany, scoring 15 points on 63.3% shooting from the field. Leonie Fiebich and Nyara Sabally, Breanna Stewart's teammates, scored 12 and nine points, respectively.

The Americans built an early lead, finishing the first quarter with a 22-9 advantage. Germany bounced back in the second quarter, taking it 23-22.
However, Team USA cashed in on every opportunity it had to score in the third quarter.
The fourth quarter began with the Americans up 64-50 and they added to their lead, eventually taking the game 84-57.
Team USA will hit the court again on Jul. 29, when it faces Japan in the Olympics.
