Caitlin Clark and members of the Indiana Fever showed their support for teammate Grace Berger as she shared an Instagram post recapping her 2024 journey. The backup guard’s post featured photos highlighting her time in the WNBA, playing overseas and participating in the 2024 USA Basketball 3×3 Women’s National Team development camp.
Berger’s seven-photo collection began with her in Fever training gear and ended with a humorous shot alongside her teammates. She captioned the post.
“Lil recap from my job this year😁.”
Caitlin Clark commented on the post:
“Yasss.”
Fellow Fever teammate Lexie Hull added:
“Dream job!!!!”
Aliyah Boston shared her love for their camaraderie:
“Love being your teammates ❤️❤️.”
Support extended beyond the Fever as Dallas Wings’ Maddy Siegrist and Berger’s former Indiana University teammates Sara Scalia and Sydney Parrish also commented on the post.
Berger was the seventh pick in the 2023 WNBA draft. During her rookie season with the Fever, she appeared in 36 games, gradually earning a larger role as the season went on. However, her second season saw a reduced role, with Berger playing in only 11 regular-season games.
In addition to her time in the WNBA, Berger competed in the 2024 Athletes Unlimited League and signed with OGM Ormanspor of the Turkish Super League in July 2024.
Caitlin Clark playfully calls Grace Berger ‘scared’ on the golf course
Caitlin Clark’s offseason has been filled with accolades and pursuits beyond basketball, including her growing interest in golf.
During the leadership summit at The Annika driven by Gainbridge, an LPGA pro-am event Clark attended in November, she fielded questions about whether she had played golf with other teammates.
"I haven't played with anyone on any other team, but some of my teammates golf," Clark said.
Clark jokingly teased Berger, a former state champion golfer, suggesting that her teammate might be hesitant to face her on the golf course.
"One of my teammates (Berger) was a state champion golfer, so she's pretty good. I actually haven't played with her yet, so I think she might be scared or something. I don't know why. Her game must have gotten rusty when she became a professional basketball player."
In her limited appearances during the 2024 WNBA season, Berger averaged 2.8 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists over 9.3 minutes per game.
